VAIMOO exhibits at Velo-City 2019
Make cycling accessible to everyone was the focus of the 39th edition of Velo-City, the largest Global Cycling Summit that every year invites the most important international experts of smart mobility to introduce technological and culture innovation in this field.
For the first time the vehicle-sharing solution of VAIMOO – whose brand was then still under construction and addressed as the connectivity technology VAIMOO integrates inside, ESB – was exhibited during the event hosted by the Dublin City Council.
Ideated by the European Cyclists’ Federation (ECF) in 1980, Velo-City came back to Dublin after 14 years and found a renewed city which implemented smart urban mobility plans with the aim to reduce car usage and change citizens’ mobility habits. The adoption of these measures resulted in the number of cyclists that increased by 147% since 2005.
It is in this framework that VAIMOO showed up as the right partner for governmental authorities, mobility consultants and technological companies to shape a sustainable future for smart cities in terms of urban mobility and micro-mobility.
Its strength consists in the possibility to co-work with local governmental partners to offer different management operations and move together towards ‘a more liveable, safe and active environment for its citizens’ of which ‘Dublin represents a true example’, as claimed by Marcio Deslandes, Velo-City Series Director.
