VAIMOO, the Italian company that designs, manufactures and operates bike sharing systems for municipalities and public transport operators, is exhibiting at Velo-City 2026, the international conference dedicated to cycling as a driver of urban transformation, held at the Palacongressi di Rimini from 16 to 19 June.

At the event, VAIMOO is presenting its end-to-end solutions, demonstrating the versatility of a system that can be deployed as a Virtual Station model (with app-based virtual stations), Docked (with traditional physical stations) or as a Hybrid Scheme, adapting to the specific needs of citizens, urban mobility and available infrastructure, while optimising both operations and service quality.

VAIMOO’s presence at Velo-City comes during a phase of strong growth for the company, which today employs more than 80 people and has already deployed over 23,000 bikes, covering more than 25 million kilometres and avoiding the emission of approximately 3,800 tonnes of CO2. In Italy, the service is active in cities of widely differing size and character – from Bari to Matera, Vercelli to Taranto, Pompeii to Catanzaro, Biella to Teramo and Chieti, and along the entire Abruzzo coast – while across Europe VAIMOO has operated in Germany, the United Kingdom, Denmark, Ireland, Poland and the Netherlands.

The distinctive element that VAIMOO has brought to the European stage is a vertically integrated industrial and operational model: the company develops the entire supply chain in-house – vehicles, fleet management software platform, user app, and IoT systems for anti-theft protection and predictive maintenance – while at the same time acting as the direct operator of the service, with locally based staff trained ad hoc. This combination of manufacturer and operator is a rarity in the micromobility sector – one that delivers to local communities not only CO2 savings but also new job opportunities.

VAIMOO’s solution received the CES Innovation Award in Las Vegas in the Vehicle Intelligence & Transportation category, in recognition of its ability to adapt to any micromobility and last-mile transport scenario.
