Elerent is the first Italian company to focus on sharing mobility in all its forms, offering a cutting-edge technological solution for managing fleets of electric vehicles throughout Italy. Elerent was one of the first operators to introduce the sharing service in Italy, focusing on cities where solving the last mile problem is essential. The company’s vision is to create an ecosystem of sustainable mobility in as many urban centres as possible, from 10,000 inhabitants upwards; integrating a single app that allows access to several types of vehicle, to best meet the needs of users, whatever their journey”, says Alessio Treglia, founder and CEO of Elerent.
The company’s mission is to provide exclusively green micro-mobility services in as many locations as possible, making the service economical and accessible to users, and integrating it in the best possible way with urban transport, so as to become a resource for the territory and the community.

The first franchise specialising in green micro-mobility launches its e-bike sharing service with smart vehicles designed and manufactured by VAIMOO, integrated with 2hire's technology.
Mola di Bari, July 28, 2021 – This is a merge of stories about Italian innovation that meet and come together, thus creating a cutting-edge service for a Tourism 4.0.
This is the project carried out by Elerent, the first franchising specialised in the green micro-mobility sector, which has signed an agreement with VAIMOO, the connected e-bike sharing solution developed by the Angel Group and already operative in Copenhagen, Rotterdam, the UK and Poland, to debut its first shared electric bicycle service starting from Calabria and Sardinia.
The technological partnership is totally Made in Italy and also involves 2hire, a startup company that creates advanced solutions for smart mobility and that has integrated its own sharing management system with the e-bikes designed by VAIMOO and supplied to Elerent.
An innovative project that meets the needs of sustainable tourism, which finds an important ally in sharing mobility: multimodal, ecological, capillary mobility combined with public services, which can reduce the impact of vehicle traffic both in urban centres and in those areas of the territory that are often fragile as well as less travelled and reachable.
“In Italy there is a growing demand for alternative mobility to the private car,” says Matteo Pertosa, founder and CEO of VAIMOO, “especially in areas with a strong tourist appeal. Just think that in 2020 there were about 55 million overnight stays directly related to cycling tourism, equal to 6.1% of the total. This is a growing demand, especially from international tourists, and requires a systemic response in terms of supply, but also in terms of safeguarding our territory. The partnership with Elerent and 2hire goes in this direction and demonstrates, once again, that when Italian entrepreneurship and technology are combined, high-value innovation projects can be created”.
